In 2022 we moved to a small 5 acre plot of land after experiencing the pandemic and looking for a lifestyle change for our growing family.  At the time, this plan didn't include the words "farm, flowers, or homestead". We simply wanted more space and less noise.

It didn't take long for my brain to be permanently altered by the dirt in a small raised garden bed.  I threw some seeds into a raised garden bed already on the property and grew my first flowers (ever).

Within 3 years we have expanded to 2000 sq foot fenced in vegetable garden and 3000 sq feet of cut flowers, made up of over 20 varieties. We can't forget the greenhouse built from scratch with recycled windows, as well as the whole flock of chickens, ducks and our very own Mother Goose Jolene.

It really is a sight worth seeing—but this is only the beginning.
